Banana Cinnamon Cake (with brown sugar)

There is no other feeling like the feeling of a soft textured, yumm smelling warm cake that has been baked as an experiment and turns out good.

 

I blogged about it yday and a reader intended to see the recipe.. As an effort to connect my post and thsi photostream, I thought of posting the recipe here :-)

 

So Rush, this is for you...

 

1.5 cups all purpose flour

1 spoon baking soda

1/3rd spoon salt

(mix the above three in a bowl)

 

3 mashed bananas (standard sized)

1/2 cup brown sugar

1/3 cup of regular sugar

1/4 cup of oil (one could use butter but this is what i used)

2 pinches of cinnamon powder

2 beaten eggs

Mix all these in a bowl and then add in the flour to make it into the cake batter

 

My oven knob doesn't have temperature indicator and neither do i use oven thermometer as yet. So I preheat the oven with approximation.

 

I baked it for 45 min and kept checking with a tooth pick in between to see how well its done.

  

My husband wanted to have it with hot chocolate OR with ice cream but I didn't let him make it more sinful... we both quite liked it...

 

& with this, I inaugurated my new cake pan yday.
