Hedge Parsley Fruits

Our cat used to come home with his fur full of sticker burrs. Now I know where they came from: my neighbor's planter overgrown with weeds.

The fruits are densely covered with microscopic hooked bristles and are egg- shaped. As they mature they become hard and the hooks will stick to anything that comes in contact.

The cluster of seeds measures approximately 1/2".
