VIDEO: Liberty Star in the Gulf of Mexico (NASA, 10/19-10/20/09)

NASA ship Liberty Star on Oct. 19-20, 2009, seen under way in the central Gulf of Mexico after leaving Gulfport, Miss. Rough seas were swelling to 12 feet, and high northeasterly winds were gusting to 30 knots. Liberty Star was escorting the space shuttle external tank ET-134 from Michoud Assembly Facility in New Orleans to Kennedy Space Center in Florida.
