      I would say the reflection on the water doesn´t come from the ground, it comes from the stars :-) Van Gogh is best in his nocturnal scenes.

      Yes, the night scenes of van Gogh are best of all.
      But the reflections on the water clearly come from lighted houses along the shore.
      Every reflection is pointing on a light on the strand.
