Salzburg, Austria

The sculpture “Sphaera,”

( Stephan Balkenhol)

on Kapitelplatz,

is about nine meters in height, including the pedestal. It represents a male figure standing in a relaxed pose on a golden sphere. Black trousers, white shirt, neutral attitude and expression – this man might be a nodding acquaintance, or he might be everyman.

Festung Hohensalzburg or Hohensalzburg Fortress

The mightiest fortress of central Europe, a powerful castle sitting in a prominent position, undoubted Salzburg′s prime attraction and most dominant feature of the city′s skyline: the "Festung Hohensalzburg" or "Hohensalzburg Fortress" ought not to be missed at any Salzburg visit.
