people are weird

i didnt know it was even possible to break a twenty pence piece.

 

we're having the traditional leaving present whip-round for one of the senior managers in the team - i am the lucky girl who gets to co-ordinate the happy task.

 

today, this was among the pound coins & a couple of 50 pence pieces. and no other smaller denomination coins...

 

so - someone either threw in 70p or, they just had a random broken 20p in their wallet & saw this as a good opportunity to get rid of it?
