Through competition, the Jamaica National Building Society Foundation's Resolution Project has sought to promote Advocacy Through Photography amongst High School students in rural Jamaica.

Human Rights was chosen as the theme for the 2009 cycle of the competition, paying homage to the 60th Anniversary of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights.

They were then challenged to critically examine their own communities and portray Human Rights issues, through the use of pictures, short accompanying essays, and their own advocacy campaigns designed with the aim of effecting positive change.

In 2009, the Jamaica National Building Society Foundation expressed an interest in becoming a part of the Picture Dis collection on Flickr. In June 2010, the Foundation donated the photographs from the Resolution Project to the Library which were used to create a new collection: Picture Dis: Resolution Project - Ready, Aim, Inspire.
