Dos Ojos (Two Eyes) is a flooded cave system located north of Tulum. The exploration of Dos Ojos began in 1986 and still continues. The documented underwater extent of the cave system is at least 61 km (as of October 8, 2008) and there are no less than 25 known sinkhole entrances, which are locally called cenotes.
