650b Banjo
It lives! Finally.
The bike is built around 650b Hetre tires rolling on a SonDelux front dynamo hub and an Alfine 11 rear internal gear hub. The frame, fork and rack were made by Banjo Cycles. I am continually impressed by how perfect the details and clearances are on the frame. And the fork has one of the most pleasing curves I've ever seen. The front rack is a mini-porteur rack for a grocery bag of cargo. These photos don't show it, but I was able to switch to a White Industries BB that allows room to route the taillight wire through the BB shell as was intended. Perhaps I'll switch to drop bars when a suitable bar-end shifter comes along, but for now the Jitensha flat bars are great.
