Marsh Tit (Parus palustris) on a Log at Clumber Park, Notts
Marsh Tit (Parus palustris) on a log.
I'm not 100% sure this is not a Willow Tit ( Parus montanus) but it did seem to have a particularly shiny black cap which is a distinguishing feature. This one is definitely glossier than the Willow Tits at Potteric Carr. Also it has the distinctive white mark at the base of the upper bill by the nostril.
Photo taken in Clumber Park, Nottinghamshire, in mid February.
