Several mornings a week I take one of my daughters across town. We leave right at the break of dawn, and when I come home, and before my husband leaves for work and is still at home with the other sleeping kids, I check out the horses making their way back to the hills. There are two main groups that have developed the very bad habit of hanging out on the neighborhood roads at night. This is one of those groups, and Lobo's group is the other. This band is instantly recognizable with its striking gray mare. In this pic, they have wandered a little off course and are stuck on the wrong side of a fence and have decided to turn around. Mornings first light is just hitting Mt. Rose.
