Coney Island History Project Mural by Philomena Marano & Marc Kehoe

The Coney Island History Project commissioned artists Philomena Marano and Marc Kehoe to design a mural for our metal gate. We asked them to include our website address and hours of operation--Saturday and Sunday, 1- 6pm, from Memorial Day to Labor Day. Now when people driving by during the off season see the gate down, they don't ask, when are they open anyway? They visit our website, where we have a free audio walking tour and oral history archive.

The mural was finished in time for our May 23 opening day of the 2009 season. Visit the Coney Island History Project’s Public exhibition center under the Cyclone Roller Coaster at 824 Surf Avenue just east of W 10th Street.

FREE ADMISSION for One and ALL!

Open weekends from Memorial Day Weekend through Labor Day.

Hours are 1 to 6 p.m., Saturdays and Sundays. Also open on Memorial Day and Labor Day, 1-6 p.m. www.coneyislandhistory.org
