Muni 1056 FW

Muni Railway # 1056, a St. Louis Car Co. PCC, painted in the livery of the Kansas City Public Service Company, which ran PCC's from 1941 to 1957. Some of this K.C. company's cars came to San Francisco third-hand (via Toronto, Canada!) in the late 1970's and ran (in Toronto's livery, yet!) through the end of PCC revenue use on 1982. This car is from Philadelphia, though...

Taken at Jefferson & Taylor Streets in San Francisco, CA in Fisherman's Wharf (the sign [previously seen in the Muni 1052 FW 2 shot] is seen almost edge-on above the rear of the car...) by a Nikon D40x at ISO 400 with a Nikon 18-55mm non-VR kit lens. (at 20)
