I have seen this photograph before so I knew just where to be at dusk in Paris. :) And Paris didn't disappoint!

      I know this pov ;-)))))))))))
Very bright on the left, but the idea is well spotted, i wonder why f4.5?
Next time to go f11 or f13 for even longer exposure and more detail in the far background!
But afteral, nice shot my friend!

Heh.. yeah, things did get quite bright on the left. I tried to tone things down a bit there in Photoshop. This was a bit of a tricky one as I combined three or so seperate images into one there in order to have more light trails on the left side, as well as a better rendition of the searchlight atop the tower. The long-exposure idea seems to run against capturing the tower light, alas. Hmm.

Why f/4.5? I suppose I was thinking that perhaps by keeping the aperture fairly open I could make the light trails brighter. So.. have shorter individual exposures but have each brighter, for brighter light trails. I should have tried your suggestion to see the difference. Plus then I would have also gotten some star-shaped light points as well.

That's it.. I guess I'll just have to revisit Paris! :)
