      wow, is this yours?

      Looks like my size.

Yup, mine. All da bikes on this flikr are mine. So finished collecting, enough, finito.

Size ? Too small for me, 54.5 c c ST. But worth having in the collection. Just so people don't kick sand in your face.

      Hi Nic
Ok that's a nice bicycle but what's the story of that find ? By the look of the tyres that bike seems to have been forgotten for years, not in a cellar though
I'm happy that you've finally found the cure to collecting ;-) ! I'm still struggling myself !
      Cheers

Karl, get yourself interested in building perpetual motion machines. Or trébuchets. That will take up all your spare time :-) Just make sure you have good insurance.

How to find Herse bikes ? Either hard work or luck. Or a decision to pay the full price.

What Meauxtown said. Nice speedometer too.

Very close to my size, I need 56cm ctc seat tube. Rats

Na I'm not interested in owning a Herse, apart from the money issue I'm not sure I'd be able to feel the difference with a more common brand.
Besides I'm happy with my Peugeots, Motobécanes, Gitanes and Lejeune. I can take them to the grocery store without worrying too much ! And when I find a nice, interesting and well preserved example for 30 euros it makes my day ! Ah the pleasure of simple tastes !

      54.5 c c ST, you sure ?
By the look of the head tube I would have guessed 56 if not 58

Absolutely right, a "higher quality bike" doesn't make you a better rider any more than a Steinway makes a chimp the equal of Glen Gould. Size ? Maybe you are correct, might be 55.5, but definitely not 58 or even 56. I'll measure it again some time.

Please stop discussing whether or not it's my size.

Quite a find in that configuration, condition and age, regardless of the marque. Could have had any name on it and I'd still like the look of that bike. Well done.

Yeah, I guessed 55 or 56, my size [sniff]. As far as making you a better rider, of course not. But offering a better ride? Definitely!
