Charivari at the opening of 2019 Festivals Acadiens et Créoles, Oct. 11, 2019
A noisy, joyous charivari celebrating the theme of the 2019 Festivals Acadiens et Créoles, “The Role of Women in Cajun and Creole Music,” proceeded from the A. Hays Town Building of the Hilliard University Art Museum at the conclusion of the “Les femmes et les filles: Female Perspectives in Cajun and Creole Culture Symposium” to the festival grounds and the cutting of the boudin that opened the festival Oct. 11, 2019. Leading the charivari toward Scène Ma Louisiane were Liam Cheramie and Sarah Mikayla Brown, who starred in the original two-woman show “Cajun Face” and are returning with a new show, “Cajun Face 2.”
