The Daiquiri Queens, Blackpot Festival, Oct. 27, 2018
The Daiquiri Queens performed traditional Cajun music with a lot of harmony vocals 3:30-4:30 p.m. on the main stage in the Vermilionville Performance Center during the Blackpot Festival, Oct. 27, 2018. The two-day festival was held on the grounds of the Vermilionville Living History and Folk Life Park in Lafayette, LA.

The Daiquiri Queens were dressed for Halloween, which the festival celebrated with a costume contest held later in the evening. A couple of weeks earlier, I missed their performance at the Atelier Stage near the conclusion of Festivals Acadiens et Créoles, so I was glad to be able to catch this relatively new band at Blackpot. (I hope I have all of their names right.)
