Kegan Navarre and Louisiana Traditions at the Liberty Theater July 1, 2017
Kegan Navarre and Louisiana Traditions performed at the Liberty Theater July 1, 2017. Kegan, the great grandson of Iry LeJeune, is an excellent accordionist whose performance at the Liberty was greeted with strong applause. On fiddle was Zachary Fuselier, another excellent young musician who has played with many Cajun bands for a number of years. They closed the show with an especially rousing version of the instrumental “Lake Arthur Stomp.”

Other members of the group included veteran Cajun musicians Paul Fruge on steel guitar and vocals (he played with his father in the band Blackie Fruge and the Hicks Wagon Wheel Ramblers—his signature song was “Who’ll Hold You Close”), Jimmy Breaux on drums, and Dean Duhon on bass.

The band is set to release their first CD in a few weeks. For more information, check out their Facebook page: www.facebook.com/Kegan-Navarre-Louisiana-Traditions-16914...
