Les Ferrailles at the Liberty Theater, Sept. 3, 2016
Ryan Brunet et Les Ferrailles performed 6 to 7:30 p.m. at the Liberty Theater Sept. 3, 2016. I was at the Creole Renaissance Festival in Rayne until about 6:25 but made it back to Eunice to catch the last 35 minutes of the Rendez-vous des Cajuns show.

In addition to Ryan Brunet on accordion and vocals, Les Ferrailles included twin fiddles with Jono Frishberg (who also sang one song) and Chris Segura, Yvette Landry on guitar and vocals, and Trevor Landry on drums. Ray Landry hosted the show. According to Ryan (in a podcast of the part of the show before I arrived at the theater), the band’s name was suggested by lines from the song “J’m’endors”: “Oh les gens de Crowley sont toujours dans le chemin, / Sont toujours dans chemin à chercher à malfaire, / Avec la jog au plombeau et la ferraille [brass knuckles] à la poche….”
