Courtbouillon, Rendez-vous des Cajuns Show, Experience Louisiana Festival, LSUE, Oct. 28, 2017
The Grammy-winning band Courtbouillon performed for the relocated Rendez-vous des Cajuns Show at the third annual Experience Louisiana Festival on the LSU at Eunice campus Saturday evening beginning a little before sunset, Oct. 28, 2017. The show, which is broadcast live every Saturday from the Liberty Theater in downtown Eunice, was moved to the festival grounds. Members of the band were Wayne Toups, accordion; Steve Riley, guitar; Wilson Savoy, fiddle; and Thomas David, upright bass. Pope Huval hosted the show, which was introduced by Park Ranger Angelle Bellard. The Jean Lafitte National Historical Park Preserve, which includes the Prairie Acadian Cultural Center next to the Liberty Theater, is a sponsor of the Rendez-vous des Cajuns Show and of the festival.

As the attire of the band members suggests, the weather was chilly and breezy with the temperature dipping below 50. Toward the end of the show, my hands were starting to shake as I tried to hold the camera steady.
