Lil’ Buck Sinegal Blues Band, Opelousas Music and Market, April 20, 2018
The Lil’ Buck Sinegal Blues Band, led by Paul “Lil’ Buck” Sinegal and featuring other blues and zydeco veterans, opened the spring Opelousas Music and Market series at Le Vieux Village/Farmers Market Pavilion, located in the OpelousasTourist Center at 828 East Landry Street (Highway 190), just off Interstate 49. For more information about Music and Market, go to www.cityofopelousas.com/music-market. While I was there, the band played blues and few swamp pop classis. Bobby Allen did the majority of the lead vocals and Lil’ Buck sang some blues selections with other members adding harmony vocals.

The photos were taken between 6:15 and 7:00. There were no stage lights, just the pavilion’s regular lighting which was not located above the stage, so the shots required high ISO and backlighting was also an issue. I used flash for one shot of the entire band.

KATC in Lafayette recently did a nearly 30-minute interview with Lil’ Buck Sinegal in the station’s Acadiana Famous series: www.youtube.com/watch?v=rGO2sIrxLhE&t=837s.
