Paul “Lil’ Buck” Sinegal and the McComb-Veazey All-Stars at LFR Rootstock, Nov. 8, 2014
At age 70, Paul “Lil’ Buck” Sinegal is a legendary musician still very much in his prime. He played and recorded zydeco with Clifton Chenier, Rockin’ Dopsie, and Buckwheat Zydeco. He was a session guitarist for Excello swamp blues recordings with Lazy Lester and Slim Harpo, and he’s played blues and R&B with many other bands. He was inducted into the Louisiana Music Hall of Fame in 2012 and the Blues Hall of Fame in 1999.

For Rootstock 2014 on Nov. 8, 2014, at Beaver Park in Lafayette, Todd Mouton and Louisiana Folk Roots gathered together musicians from Sinegal’s McComb-Veazey neighborhood for a first-ever performance together at one time. Billed as the McComb-Veazey All-Stars, they included Lee Allen Zeno, Clarence "Jockey" Etienne, Johnny Monette, Greg Gordon, Bobby Allen, Bobby Matthews and Lloyd Richard, along with Eric Adcock from the Hub City All-Stars. They played two hours of the best in South Louisiana blues, R&B, and swamp pop.
