Coz Fontenot and Friends, Louisiana Folk Roots Heritage Day, Chicot State Park, April 21, 2012
The photos of Coz Fontenot in this set were taken at the Louisiana Folk Roots Heritage Day on Saturday, April 21, 2012, at Chicot State Park in Evangeline Parish north of Ville Platte. The Heritage Festival is part Dewey Balfa Cajun and Creole Heritage Week.
Coz performed on the Heritage Stage, together with David Best on accordion and guitar; Mike Hebert on guitar and fiddle; and Yvette Landry on triangle.

As of spring 2012, Coz Fontenot is leading a weekly jam session in the Midnight Cabin located behind Jambalaya from the Bayou in Eunice starting at 7 p.m. Fridays. (The place used to be known as the Swamp Room next to the Chatterbox Restaurant on east side of Eunice on Highway 190.)

A year or so ago, he released a new CD, “Just a Little Piece of My Heart,” recorded by Joel Savoy with Joel on fiddle, his brother, Wilson, on accordion, and their mother, Ann Savoy on guitar.

The photos in this set are also included in a set with other shots of LFR Heritage Day.
