Travis Matte and the Kingpins, Downtown Eunice Lundi Gras Street Dance, Feb. 24, 2020
Travis Matte and the Kingpins performed in downtown Eunice at the Lundi Gras Street Dance (on Monday, the day before Mardi Gras), Feb. 24, 2020, starting at 9 p.m. At one point, Travis invited, Donald Himel and Malcolm Naquin, two regulars on KBON’s “Swamp and Roll Show,” to come on stage to play “The Turner Breakdown,” an instrumental they do each week on the radio show as a lead-in to an advertisement for Turner’s Conoco, a gas station in downtown Eunice.

Bright overhead lights shone down on the center stage, while other areas were more dimly lit, creating strong contrasts that I tried to modify some in post processing.
