Alphonse Ardoin and The Zydeco Kingz at the Louisiana Swine Festival Nov. 4, 2018
Alphonse Ardoin and The Zydeco Kingz performed Sunday afternoon, Nov. 4, 2018, at the Pig Barn in Basile to close out the Louisiana Swine Festival, carrying on the Ardoin family legacy with his own energetic brand of zydeco. It’s my understanding that he is a great nephew of the late Alphonse “Bois Sec” Ardoin. For more information about the band, go to www.facebook.com/alphonseardoin.zydecokingz.

The sky was still mostly cloudy after a rainy day, so I had to use high ISOs to shoot available light photos underneath the pavilion in Basile. A wooden 2 by 4 fence with cross braces surrounded the stage. I had to stoop down to shoot around the fencing, which accounts for the angle of most of the shots.
