Tee-Mamou Mardi Gras Courir, March 5, 2019
I was heading south after taking photos of the Basile Mardi Gras Courir when I encountered the Tee-Mamou Courir pulling onto the highway about 8:20 a.m. I was at the end of a line of vehicles following the courir, so, by the time I arrived at the first stop, the Mardi Gras had already unloaded and advanced toward the homeowner’s carport to sing their song. I drove to the second stop ahead of the courir. After getting some chicken-chasing photos, I headed back to Eunice in time to catch that courir going across Highway 13 on a route through the countryside.
