Eunice Saturday night Mardi Gras Street Dance with Kevin Naquin, Wayne Toups, Feb. 10, 2018
After attending the Liberty Theater Mardi Gras Show, I walked a block up Second Street where Kevin Naquin and the Ossun Playboys were about to go on the stage to start the Saturday night Mardi Gras Street Dance on Feb. 10, 2018. The start had been delayed by rain, and intermittent drizzle was still coming down as the dance began, but a crowd was starting to gather under a nearby tent, and others didn’t let the rain stop them from dancing in the street. After taking a few photos, I returned home for supper. By the time I got back downtown, the rain had stopped, the crowd was huge, and Wayne Toups and ZydeCajun were ready to take the stage.

The photos in this album were all taken with available light at high ISOs. A few spots on the stage were illuminated with very bright overhead spotlights while the rest was quite dark, so I had to use the adjustment brush in Lightroom to try to compensate. In many shots, Kevin and Wayne were in shadow above the waist while their accordions were brightly lit.
