Eunice World Championship Crawfish Étouffée Cookoff, March 20, 2016
The 31st annual Eunice World Championship Crawfish Étouffée Cookoff was held at the Northwest Community Center Pavilion starting at 10 a.m. Sunday, March 20, 2016. The temperature was about 50 degrees when I arrived at 10:45 a.m. with a north wind that made it feel even cooler, especially in the shade under the pavilion.

The band lineup began with Josh Johnson and the Beagle Ranch Ramblers, followed by the Pineleaf Boys, and closing with Geno Delafose and French Rockin’ Boogie. The photo set also include a few shots of the booths of businesses and organizations entered in the competition. Admission to the event was free. Booths sold crawfish étouffée samples for $3 a cup. Other food items, as well as arts and crafts, were also on sale.
