Hamarikyu Gardens

This park, right on the edge of Tokyo Bay (many of the ponds connect with the bay and are therefore saltwater) used to be a hunting ground for the Shogun. It was given to the people of Tokyo by the Emperor following the end of WWII, and is now a public park. In recent years it has been surrounded by the skyscrapers that house Japan's media and other massive national companies.
