The Lady of the Sea [Explore]

My grandfather was an amazing man who unfortunately died before I was born. I am told he looked exactly like the silent film star Rudolph Valentino -- so much so that people would ask him for his autography. He and "Rudy" were both from Napoli, Italy.

My grandfather was possibly the greatest french horn player in his day, but not only that, he was a consummate chef and artist. I love his oil paintings -- like the one hanging behind my model -- and I try to incorporate them in my images now and then.

This is a mysterious lady from one of my "Constructed Fairytales". Perhaps she came from the sea and longs to return? My model spent the entire day at the beach today so I love how there is actual saltwater in her hair and her eyes are red from swimming in the ocean. I see so much depth in her eyes.
