Upon opening up this RAW file from my Sigma DP2s, I was shocked by the layers of detail in the sand dunes captured by its Foveon sensor. You can even see the sand carried by the wind seemingly in a diagonal direction. At first I thought it was color banding, but I 've concluded it 's not after some pixel peeping. If you look at the edge of the nearest sand dune, you could definitely see the wind carry up the sand. This little "4.7 Megapixel" camera has almost surpassed the output from my 18 Megapixel Canon 7D!! I am definitely longing for the DP1m with the SD1 sensor.
