A Crown of Righteousness for my Auntie Gin

    Newer Older

My Aunt Virginia died last week, and it has really affected me. She fought a long hard battle with bone cancer. She was a highly skilled RN and was in charge of the VA hospital in Montana. She was a Christian, and was ready to go when it was her time. In 2 Timothy 4:8 it says that we will receive a crown of righteousness. Auntie Gin, this is in remembrance of you!

What a lovely crown, only fitting that it is in memory of one who gave so much and was loved by so many

Your aunt Virginia sounded like a remarkable woman, it's funny, well not really, but l'm sure you'll understand when l say this, you don't realise how much you'll miss someone until they are gone..........

Thank goodness for our memory's though........

When l'm feeling a bit down, thoughts go to my dad, who passed away around 13 years ago now, instantly see the cheeky grin he used to have, cheers me up no end, l'm sure you'll have many good memory's of your aunt, so cherish them, as l do, when thinking of my dad.

Sending you my deepest condolences, my friend,
      take care
      be well

      linda.........hugs !!

I bet your aunt would have loved this! And you obviously loved and looked up to her very much...a testament to a life well-lived. And just think...in her eyes, you were always a youngster! I'm so sorry that she is gone, but happy for you that you had someone like her in your life all these years, and that she had you in hers.

Right after my mom died, I wrote down a whole long list of things that I thought of when I thought of my mom, and it ended up being very long, very entertaining, and when I shared it with her best friends, they found much comfort AND laughter in it, too.
