Graceful snail-eater (Dipsas gracilis) - Mindo, Ecuador

Dipsas gracilis is a relatively widely distributed snake found in Colombia, Ecuador and Peru. It can be found moving about in low vegetation at night as it forages for snails and slugs. A pretty snake that slightly resembles some of the coral snakes, however unlike the coral snakes it is completely harmless and Dipsas snakes practically never attempt to bite even when handled. By this point in my Ecuador trip my macro lens had ceased to function so here is my wide-angle attempt.
