One-day-old clouded leopard cubs at the Smithsonian's National Zoo Conservation and Research Center

Newer Older

National Zoo Conservation and Research Center animal care staff and veterinarians are keeping a close watch on the new born clouded leopards, feeding them every three hours and monitoring their temperature and body weight.

National Zoo scientists have learned that hand rearing clouded leopards greatly decreases the risk of cub mortality and lowers stress levels in this critically endangered species.

I want that job! I even have experience feeding feral kittens. Amazed at the size of the nipple used, though. Very sweet and thanks for posting.
