    Toward lower Manhattan and Wall Street; the twin towers of the 3-year-old World Trade Center are in the distance, and the sharp prow of the Flatiron Building is just to the left of lower center, where Broadway cuts diagonally across Fifth Avenue at 22nd Street.

      Beautiful image, I took a strikingly similar image to this recently. Found this page through Google Image search!

      It's amazing to see the before/after effect of 36 years.

      Wow! It's truly mind-blowing how much construction has gone on in Mid-town and lower Manhattan in the last 36 years. They even built up skyscrapers on the New Jersey side! I printed them both in color so I could really compare. Thanks for sharing your fantastic picture. It's heartening to know that digital pictures will never fade or discolor or need to be scanned.

      Fantastic shot! It's like every building between midtown and Wall Street grew just slightly. Manhattan never stops changing:)
