Swaledale From the Buttertubs Pass (Explored)

Newer Older

To me Swaledale is perhaps the most beautiful and most traditional of the Dales valleys, in no small part due to its array of barns. This image was taken high up from the Buttertubs Pass and gives an overview of the central part of the Dale.

Gorgeous light brother. I agree with you about Swaledale 100% and you have done it justice many times. By the way, this view is only about 1/4 mile from where I put my car in the ditch last weekend. I hit some wicked black ice last Sunday coming down off Buttertubs and went right into Ken Whitehead's wall. Car will be in the shop for the next few weeks :(
