Thwaite Scars and Lower Crummockdale

This is a view of Thwaite Scar just east of the village of Austwick in the Yorkshire Dales. I like the lovely greens in this area. This is the first posted shot using my new camera and lens. I decided to upgrade to the 5D Mark 2 after reading many, many reviews. First impressions are favourable and it is a big step up from the 450D (which I feel was a very well sorted camera). The main reason was to embrace full-frame and to gain greater detail in the images as I tend to specialise in landscape. I have teamed it with the Canon 24-105L as this has a similiar range to the 15-85 but again with increased contrast, colour and resolution. I still feel the 15-85 is a very capable lens. I guess the next big challenge is to improve my technicial post processing skills as well as get to grips with this less forgiving equipment by getting out as often as possible (except that suddenly its dark at night!!)
