Longstreet Palms

Rows of tall, skinny Mexican Fan Palms are everywhere in L.A. -- but this one is special. Currently located on the grounds of Orthopaedic Hospital near Adams and the 110, it's the city's oldest, dating to 1870 when it lined the path to a mansion owned by a Charles Longstreet. Nearby, at the gateway to Exposition Park, is the city's oldest individual tree.
