There are plenty of things that seem odd to the "western eye" lying about in Chinatown markets. I think dried octopi difinately count.

Who the hell am I to criticize if the wholesale slaughter and sun-drying of a creature smarter than your average dog occurs? I mean, these were obviously babies, so they weren't very smart yet -- or at least that was part of Mr. Swift's very modest proposal. Only, in sharp contrast to the people of the world, they are not populating themselves out of control.

A girl wonders what is a universal right/wrong and what is cultural elitism. Who the hell am I to say?

Maybe letting the Chinese sell dried human babies could do the population control trick? 4.39 per pound would be quite a competitive price.

Well, they don't weigh very much when dried, so it'd have to be at least as much as dried mushrooms.

Anyhow, the Chinese have made great inroads at crontrolling their own population. What we need to to is tie the whole thing to NASCAR somehow.
