"Pony" Diesel One-Wheeled Motorcycle Mk. IX
An experimental vehicle that saw limited action in the NE Border Conflict as a scout vehicle, the oddly-shaped Pony proved adept at maneuvering easily through the dense forests of the north and its light weight made it capable crossing ice that would shatter under the weight of other vehicles. Despite these abilities, it was unpopular because of its unreliability and fragility in combat. In addition, the driver was almost completely exposed and was forced to rely on the vehicle's agility to protect himself. It was equipped with frontal "parking" skis so as to keep the vehicle from tipping forward as the driver mounted and dismounted, but these could also be used whilst driving to turn the monowheel motorcycle into a sort of snowmobile, which would improve its stability.
