ASB-07 "Bigshroud" (LSB contest entry)

Newer Older

The Assault Speeder Bike 07 "Bigshroud" is a military repulsorlift vehicle developed by Imperial Defence Industry (IDI) for the Uranian Empire Army (UEA).
Designed as a light, high-speed, heavily armed and non-armoured vehicle able to sneak behind the enemy lines due to its high maneuverability.
It's widely known for the kamikaze mission every pilot must execute after his "Bigshroud" runs out of ammo! There's no Bigshroud pilot coming back ever recorded!

This is my entry for the Military category of the Lego Speeder Bike Contest 2011

It seems to be a Tim "Gambort" Gould's Cave Racer but believe me i wasn't aware of what a cave racer is until two guyz commented below! Now i know and i really love the concept! I will definetely try to make another one some day!

Won the LSB Contest-Military category

    Thank you guyz!
Believe me guyz i haven't noticed anything about this crazy idea Gambort had back in 2008 until now!
Maybe i've seen some photos of cave racers that ispired me subconsciously but i wasn't aware of the concept behind them! I made a little research and i understand what is what now and i wll put it in my description.

Somehow missed this... Nice work, probably the smallest entry in the contest so far. Yet no less awesome for it.

Hey, no problem. It was just an observation, not an accusation. :)
This little build has parts that are available in so may colors. It would be easy to build a bunch and race them around. I dig it.

I'm not a big fan of the pose (from the torso down), but think that is the only thing I don't like. I like the rest of it a lot, especially the engine mount and integration. Best of luck in the contest.
