Reinier made kkaennip kimchi. He says, "..

    I have never thought these tasted minty. I love them and prefer them over lettuce for wrapping.

    I've never thought of mint when I'd eat those either, but they are actually a member of the mint family. :)

    These are used in Japanese pickling (tsukemono). Their Japanese name is shiso. Very distinctive flavor, indeed!
