Distinctive dog-house.

This was built in the late nineteenth century for Dido the St Bernard family pet of the Colyer-Fergusson family who lived in Ightham Mote from 1889-1951. It still stands in the courtyard and like the house it too has a Grade1 listed status.

What a beautifully constructed dog house. I can't imagine such a thing. It has withstood the
ravages of time well. Great capture and interesting shot, Alan. As Teresai said, a properly, pampered, pooch. Have a nice weekend.

This family had its priorities right. Wish the dog was still resident. Lovely capture!

Lovely that it has lasted so well. Does a family pet still have the use of it? It would be nice if that were so.
