Took a little trip to the north umpqua this last weekend. Saturday it was misting and raining all day. I have only been to the trail that is above the falls. I thought I would walk down the canyon to the bridge and go on the other side. Well with the dog on a leash in one hand, tripod in the other and a heavy pack it just wasn't happening. I was very wet and just not feeling like walking back up that canyon. So I got a few shots from above and that was about it for all that effort. Well, the next morning was pretty nice and still cloudy so I looked online and found directions for the down in view. So we hiked down a shorter path to a much better view of the falls. This canyon from down in is just beautiful. The spray coming off the falls is pretty intense at times and the wind was picking up so this is about as good a shot as I could get. There is a lot of water coming down right now and I would like to get some different comps when the flow isn't so heavy. This view was worth the all up hill hike out.
Happy Waterfall Wednesday!
