Churchill & Blakedown Signal Box
August (Bank Holiday Weekend) 2012 Stourbridge to Hartebury inclusive re-signalling transferring the work to the West Midland Signalling Centre (WMSC), resulting in the closure of Blakedown, Kidderminster, Hartlebury and Stourbridge Signalboxes.
Opened by the Great Western Railway in 1888 it replaced an earlier box . The box is a type 4 design. This building was assessed for listing in 2011, but failed to meet the required criteria.
Network Rail had planned to demolish the landmark as an automatic level crossing means it is no longer needed but have donated it provided it is moved and rebuilt in a new location.
