Super Saturday

Super Saturday tested the cadets on warrior tasks and battle drills on a sprawling land navigation course that took platoons from a stress fire lane on the range to a mock village at Camp Natural Bridge to provide security and assist the local chief. It was estimated that the course, designed by the regimental staff, covered a distance of about nine kilometers. Hiking across streams and over hills added a fatigue factor to the event as platoons were forced to keep alert throughout for impeding ambushes. Along the way, cadets were tested on their Soldier First Responder training to provide medical assistance to wounded civilians and captured insurgents; search and seizure of prisoners; and patrol and security operations.
