The Ancient World - Life in the Ice Age
During long periods of the Earth's history, large areas of land have been covered by ice. As temperatures fell, sheets of ice up to 650 feet (200 m) thick spread across land and sea. The last of these ice ages had a dramatic effect on human and animal life.
This vignette shows two men in the ice age, one gaurding the cave, and one eating dinner.
