Social inclusion - II
Children from the shanty surrounding our new community base, now have more constructive alternatives to the streets during out-of-school hours, here enjoying a break during the percussion and capoeira workshops.
Hopefully our youth multipliers will reach most of their objectives such as:
·Social inclusion: youngsters who feel more confident in the future and capable of building their lives;
·Improvement in the quality of family life through increased closeness and dialogue between parents and children;
·Better school attendance, with an effective participation in the school's activities;
·Young people looking to live off a legitimate income earned by doing a honest and dignified job;
·Police that supports preventive and community work;
·Real choices in terms of leisure activities in the area, through the activities promoted by the new Community Base and the Hummingbird Cultural Activity Centre;
·Territorial democracy so people from different regions can move freely;
·A group of strong, solid and motivated youngsters that provides a new positive example and spread their values throughout the community.
