Volvo 740GL (F844ONL) at the Metro Centre 1990's.

A friend of mine was a car salesman in the 80's, of all the cars he had brought round, the only one to impress me was one of the giant Volvo 760 series. I thought I would have one one day, and around 1996 I acquired F844ONL from a garage in North Shields. The only thing wrong with it was the incorrect wheel trims, and try as I might, I could not get any of the correct specification ones. I stupidly sold this fine car when I moved house, on the grounds of it being too uneconomic to run it up and down the A19 every day to work from Teesside, forgetting in a moment of maddness that it would be at its most economic on the high speed roads. I replaced it with a dreadful Nissan Sunny. Even now I curse the day I sold the Volvo. It was easily the best car Iv'e owned. The car was last seen in the Wolviston Court area of Billingham around 2010.
