      Very nice work, Paul!
The UV light really gives it an "alien" look and together with the close-up, it makes it lose any sense of scale. Excellent work, buddy!

This has not been edited in any application. The ominous glow is UV light supplemented. This particular species of scorpion oringinally has a shiny black exoskeleton but when exposed to UV lighting it appears blue in appearance. The special adaptation protects the subject from harmful uv light that the sun produces.

this particular scorpion rarely stings though, and it's venom is not much more potent than that of a wasp, it holds and tears apart its prey with the massive pedipalp claws
